Yoga Nidra is translated as, “Yoga Sleep”. It is practiced lying down in a comfortable position or sitting in a chair. Yoga Nidra is a systemic method that induces complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. It is a state of being similar to deep sleep except that the practitioner is awake and aware. The practice blends together aspects of affirmations, progressive relaxation, breath awareness, witnessing techniques and the development of one pointed-ness. This practice is a wonderful way to release and relax both physically and emotionally.
