This Sacred Space
Sacred space,
this room,
where soft lamps cast soft shadows of figures wrapped in wombs of yoga mats.
Where strains of sax of flute or pipe become ribbons of light waving through the wild night.
Outside,
the darkness, cold,
the snow.
Brief days, long nights of uncertainty.
Inside,
only the rhythm of our breath.
We reach beyond,
we come home.
Jai Bhagwan
is whispered as we depart.
I honor the light and the dark in your heart.
